William Wallace Legg, 93 of Lorain, Ohio died July 1, 2012 in his home. He was born on July 6, 1918 in Charleston, W. Va. to the late Margaret (nee: Mullins) and Benjamin Franklin Legg. Mr. Legg resided in Ohio since 1951. He served in the US Army during WW II as a combat engineer. He was a checker for a trucking company before his retirement in 1978. Mr. Legg was a long time member of the Broadway Assembly Church. He is survived by sons Roy T. (Sharon) Legg of Cleveland, Ohio, Michael A. Legg and Bruce (Amy) Legg, both of Lorain, a daughter Diana J. (Al) Wheeler of Florida, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Ruby Opal (nee: Thompson) on April 16, 1988. Friends and relatives will be received on Friday, July 6th from 3-5 PM in the WALTER A. FREY FUNERAL HOME, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052 where services will be on Saturday at 11 AM with Pastor Matt Jones officiating.
