Vonda Lee Collett

Vonda Lee Collett (nee: Goble), 64 of Lorain, Ohio died Wednesday evening, August 3, 2011 in the Medical ICU of Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain following a lengthy illness. She was born on December 6, 1946 in Floyd Co., Bryproe, Kentucky. Mrs. Collett moved from Bryproe to Lorain where she was raised and resided for the remainder of her life. She was an independent home health care aide. Mrs. Collett formerly attended Broadway Assembly Church, Lorain. She was a member of the Auxiliary of V. F. W., Post 451, Lorain; she was a former member of the Lorain YMCA. Mrs. Collett enjoyed dancing, blue grass music and surfing on the internet. She is survived by her husband of twenty eight years Lonnie G. Collett, her mother, Ada Belle (nee: Baker) Goble of Lorain and Laguna Vista, Texas, her sons, Jeffrey S. Woods, Donald E. Woods and Lonnie Jason Collett, all of Lorain, her daughters, Krista Lee Collett and Kelly Collett, both of Lorain, brothers, Kenneth E. Goble of Lorain and George W. Goble on Lakeland, Florida, sisters, Wanda Wright of Vermilion, Ohio, Alma J. Carter, Debra G. Wooten, both of Lorain and Crystal A. Vick of Laguna Vista, ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Mrs. Collett was preceded in death by her father, Everett Goble in 1990, her son, Brian C. Collett in 1971 and her sister, Glenneth (Glenna) Collette on May 20, 2011. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, August 8, 2011 from 2 P. M. until 4 P. M.and from 6 P. M. until 8 P. M. in the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 11 P. M. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp., Ohio.
