Troy Eric Odom, 30 of Lorain, Ohio succumbed to his life long strife with epilepsy at his residence early Sunday morning, January 12, 2014. He was born on September 30, 1983 in Lorain, Ohio where made his home. In 2005 Troy became a proud graduate of the Murray Ridge School. He worked at the Murray Ridge Production Center on Oberlin Avenue in Lorain whenever his health would permit. Troy enjoyed listening to country music and watching movies, especially 'Superman,' which was his favorite. He had a deep admiration and affection for firemen, policemen and the 'Blue Angels' who he called his heroes. Troy also had a love for airplanes, motorcycles, monster trucks and wrestling. He is survived by his mom and step-dad, Marykay and Ronald Godsey of Lorain, maternal grandmother, Bea Popovich of Lorain, uncle, Michael 'Mush' Popovich of Lorain, step-grandmother, Dasda Godsey, step- brother, Ronald Godsey, Jr. of Lorain and step-sisters, Angel Godsey of Wakeman, Ohio, Jessie Dusenberry, Brittney and Bethann, all of Lorain. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 2 PM until 4 PM in the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052. Funeral services will follow at 4 PM in the funeral home with The Rev. FDr. Robert E. Hudak, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church Lorain officiating.
