Teresa Henry Obituary

Teresa Ann Schnell was born on October 25th, 1953 in West Covina, California. She and her family moved to Anchorage, Alaska when she was about five. Upon graduating from high school in 1971, she started her pioneering career. In 1973 she married Craig Henry and after attending an International Assembly in Hawaii on their belated honeymoon, Craig decided to join her in the full time ministry. They were both able to special pioneer in 1975 and 1976. In 1984 Teresa and Craig were invited to Bethel, NY, where they enjoyed serving for four years. After Bethel, they moved to Lorain,OH where they spent 24 years in East Lorain and then 6 years in the West Lorain Congregation. Remaining in Ohio enabled Teresa to be close to Mari Schatschneider, her sister and her nieces. Anyone who spent time with Teresa could readily see how much she loved Jehovah's creation. In the snow or on the beach she reveled in the variety of life and landscapes provided for our enjoyment by Jehovah God. How she loved the small creatures or the ones some might find less appealing, marveling at their design and uniqueness. She took the time to pick them up and examine their fascinating details. But her primary focus in life was, of course, her service to Jehovah. She worked zealously teaching countless interested students Bible truth. Throughout her life, which included over 26 years of full time service, Teresa bestowed on so many her contagious laughter, her quick wit and her comfortable nature. Volunteering on numerous Kingdom Construction Projects, including the Lorain Remodel where she was working just days ago, shows the self-sacrificing spirit that Teresa was known for. When someone we love falls asleep in death, sadness is inevitable. But what should make our hearts glad is that Teresa gave a life full of loyal love to Jehovah her God, to her loving husband, and to her family which includes all of us. Memorial Service, Saturday, November 17th at 2pm, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 39099 Chestnut Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035. Reception afterward, Italian American Club, 4567 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, OH 44053
