Stephen Ray Bellamy

Stephen R. Bellamy 19 of Lorain, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain on Friday, January 10, 2014. Stephen was born on December 14, 1994 in Santa Barbara, California (VAFB). He was a senior at Lorain High School who enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family. Stephen loved going fishing, going to the library and listening to music. He had a contagious smile and personality which naturally made people laugh and smile. Stephen was very proud of his brother Nathan who is currently serving with the USMC being deployed to Afghanistan. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and teachers. Stephen is survived by his father, H. James Bellamy of North Ridgeville, Ohio, his mother, Jennifer J. Woolf (nee: Moore) of Lorain, his brother, LcPl Nathan J. Bellamy who is stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, grandparents, Irene and Joseph Newberry, grandma, Renate M. Moore, uncle, Andreas H. Metternich, aunts, Sandra Otero (nee: Bellamy), Julie Bellamy and Susan Bellamy, step-brothers, Christopher J. Bellamy and Tyler J. Bellamy and fourteen cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Herman J. Bellamy, Sr. on September 27, 1998, maternal grandfather, Stephen Ray Moore on June 28, 1993 and his paternal grandmother, Faye Marie Bellamy (nee: Stull) in November, 2005. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 11 AM until 1 PM in the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052. The funeral service will follow at 1 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Joseph Newberry officiating and burial in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp., Ohio.
