Staff Sergeant Peter Aloysius Britvec

A memorial mass will be said in honor of retired Staff Sergeant Peter Aloysius Britvec in the church chapel of St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1305 East Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052 Retired Staff Sergeant Peter Aloysius Britvec will be laid to rest on Friday, April 6, 1912 at 11 AM at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta, MI 49012. Peter proudly served his country from 1947 until 1970. His last station of duty was Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. Peter was a proud member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 332, D'Iberville, Mississippi and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wards, D'Iberville, Mississippi. Peter us survived by his son, Mark (Sue) Britvec of Grand Junction, Colorado, his brothers, Joseph Britvec of Battle Creek, Michigan and Jacob Britvec of Cincinnati, Ohio, his sisters, Eleanora Orlando-Jackson of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, Rosella McCreary of Battle Creek, Michigan and Elizabeth Velo of East Leroy, Michigan, grandson, Elliot of Grand Junction, Colorado, granddaughters, Brandy and Elizabeth and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara (nee: Horvat) and Thomas Britvec, daughter, Lee, brother, Richard Britvec and sisters, Barbara Arbic, Anna Hosh, Cecelia Britvec and Francis Shick. The family is inviting you to the memorial service at Fort Custer with full military honors. The WALTER A. FREY FUNERAL HOME of Lorain, Ohio attended the family with Peter's final wishes and was instrumental in the scheduling of the services at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
