Robert M. 'Red' Baker, 63 of Lorain, Ohio passed away on November 1, 2012 of a sudden illness. He was born in Logan, West Virginia on April 27, 1949 to the late Rosa L. (nee: Young) and Alex Baker. Red moved to Lorain where he has made his home for the past fifty years. Red proudly served his country in the US Army. In 1967 he began working for General Motors, Elyria, where he was employed for sixteen years. He later was worked for eleven years for Panther 2 Expedition of Seville, Ohio, retiring in January 2012. Red was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed hunting, gardening, cooking and playing cards. The birth of his granddaughter changed his life. Red is the loving husband of Sheila A. (nee: Lovas) to whom he was married for forty four years, his son, Robert M. (Kim) Baker, Jr. of Lorain, his brother, Harold 'Buddy' (Darlene) Baker of Lorain, his sister, Edith (Dale) Shedd of Summersville, West Virginia, his granddaughter, Katlynne E. Baker, four nephews, a niece, and seventeen great nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his sister, Caroline 'Sissy' Baker Koza. By his request he was cremated. A memorial service will be on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 11 AM in the Fleming Avenue Free Will Baptist Church, 4905 Fleming Avenue, Sheffield Twp., Ohio 44054. The Walter A.
