Renate M. Moore

Renate M. Moore, 73 of Lorain, Ohio died Sunday, October 15, 2017 in Anchor Lodge Nursing Home, Lorain. She was born on April 28, 1944 in Germany to the to the late Elfreada (nee: Schoenberger) and Otto Bottger. For twenty years, Mrs. Moore was employed in the maintenance and distribution department of The Morning Journal. She was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy, Vermilion. Mrs. Moore was an altruistic woman who loved knitting and crocheting hats, scarves and baby blankets which she donated to the hospital and homeless children. She is survived by her son, Andreas H. Metternich of Lorain, her daughter, Jennifer J. Moore of Lorain, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen R. Moore on June 28, 1993 and her grandson, Stephen Bellamy on January 10, 2014. Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 10 AM until noon in the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052 where funeral services will follow in the funeral home with Bishop Joseph Newberry of The Church of God of Prophecy officiating.
