Raymond Neal 'Buddy' Shelton

Raymond Neal 'Buddy' Shelton, 48 of Tallmadge, Ohio, formerly of Lorain, Ohio and Sheffield Lake, Ohio went home to be with the Lord following a twenty three year battle as a consequence of falling while employed for the Cleveland Window Cleaning Company. Even though he was debilitated, we believed that thing could be worse and that we should be grateful for our lives. He was born on February 15, 1964 in Amherst, Ohio. Buddy was a very enthusiastic Cleveland Browns fan. He enjoyed being outdoor, especially fishing. Buddy who had a great smile adored children particularly his nieces and nephews; he was a good, loving father. He is survived by his wife, Patricia J. (nee: Byrd) Shelton of Akron, Ohio, his mother, Lucy Shelton of Lorain, his sons, Bradley Scott Shelton and Robert Todd Shelton, both of Akron, his grandson, Landon Neal Shelton, a brother, Thomas E. Shelton of Lorain, sisters, Tammie Zimmerman of Mansfield, Ohio, Crystal Miller of Vermilion, Linda McCue, Susie Lacock, both of Lorain and Peaches Lothridge of Vermilion, his mother and father-law, Pamela and Dale Greene of Mogadore, Ohio, brother-in-law, Keven Byrd of Kentucky and sister-in-laws, Alana Kirven of Akron and Karen Rector of Akron. Buddy was preceded in death by his father, Edward E. Shelton, his sister, Kimberly and his brother-in-law, Joseph Byrd. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Summit Villa Care Center in Tallmadge and especially to Karen Rector, a special care-giver and sister-in-law for their kindness and support. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 4 PM until 7 PM at the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052 where funeral services will be on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp., Ohio.
