Patricia McCracken Obituary

Patricia S. McCracken (nee: Koller), 60 of Lorain, Ohio died Sunday morning, January 26, 2014 in her home unexpectantly. She was born on April 15, 1953 in Lorain, Ohio to the late Lavonne R. (nee: Ball) who died on January 20, 2001 and Harry Charles Koller who died on August 30, 1989. Patricia was a 1971 graduate of Lorain High School; she attended Adrian College in Michigan. She was employed as a Qualified Intellectual Developmental Disability Assistant for Echoing Lake Group, home of Echoing Hills Village, Inc. Her main focus in life centered around helping those with disabilities. Patricia was very benevolent to those in need of her special care. She raised and showed shelties. Patricia was a member of the Defenders of Wild Life taking a special interest in saving wolves. She is survived by her son, Steven M. (Natalie Lance, his fiancee) McCracken of Ashland, Ohio, her brother, Brad H. (Linda D.) Koller of Thornville, Ohio, her sister Karen K. (Andy Vazur) Koller of Gahanna, Ohio, two nieces, Jen D. Koller and Rebecca L. Schmehl, both of Columbus, Ohio and a great niece, Aubrey Schmehl of Columbus. Friends will be received on Friday, January 31, 2014 in the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052 from 11 AM until 1 PM. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 1 PM with Pastor Donnis Meek, Chaplain of Echoing Hills and an ordained minister of the Wesleyan Church officiating and burial in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp., Ohio.
