Michelle Maria Collins

Michelle Maria Collins, 38 of Lorain, Ohio died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in her home following a lengthy illness. She was born on September 12, 1974 in Amherst, Ohio. Michelle was a life long Lorain resident. She was very active with AA. Michelle attended the House of Praise International, Lorain. She enjoyed spending time with kids and her nephews, especially Spencer, face book and collecting bears, unicorns and dolls. Michelle is survived by her parents, Irene Naomi (nee: Ice) Edmonson and William Leroy Collins; her son, John J. Carter of Vermilion, Ohio, her daughter, Ashley Maria Carter of Lorain and her brothers, William L. Collins of Sheffield Lake, Ohio and Michael D. Collins of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Collins in 1989. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 2 PM until 4 PM and from 6 PM until 8 PM in the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052 where funeral services will follow at 8 PM with Pastor Mark Hebebrand officiating. Michelle will be taken to the Gaydos Funeral Home, Vansburg, Kentucky where visitation will be on Monday, December 17, 2012 from 10 AM until 1 PM, the time of the service.
