Mary E. Harkless

MARY E. HARKLESS Mary E. Harkless, 80 of Lorain, Ohio died Friday, March 13, 2015 in her home following a lengthy illness. She was born on May 26, 1934 in Raleigh Co., West Virginia to the late Mary Frances (nee: Tyree) and Obie Estelle Pittman. Fifty years ago Mrs. Harkless moved from Whitesville, West Virginia to Lorain where she made her home for the remainder of her life. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Vermilion, Ohio. Mrs. Harkless's life centered around her family for whom she made 'the world's best' biscuits and gravy. She is survived by her sons, Rickey A. (Faye) Harkless, Calvin T. Harkless, Michael E. (Cari) Harkless and Thomas M. (Misty) Harkless, all of Lorain, her daughters, Linda F. Lamp, Charlene D. Ward, Debbie C. Harkless, Drema A. Petrosky and Peggy D. Harkless, all of Lorain, her sister Enola (Ernie) of Pupert, West Virginia, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition in to parents, Mrs. Harkless was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Harkless in 1993, her daughter, Patricia Pebler and many brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 11 AM until 1 PM in the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052 where funeral services will follow at 1 PM with burial in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, Ohio.
