Margaret Belle Arms

Margaret Belle Arms, 63 of Lorain, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 3, 2012. She was born on August 1, 1949 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Garnet (nee: Stanley) and Edward Arms. Mrs. Arms graduated from Grafton High School. She was a substitute teacher at Murray Ridge School. Mrs. Arms was a devoted member of Haven Non-Denominational Church, Lorain. She enjoyed reading and writing; she loved fishing and playing cards and bingo. Mrs. Arms especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her sons, William Hughes, James Eugene Hughes, and Riley Hughes, all of Lorain, her daughter, Debbie Hughes of Chicago, Illinois, sisters, Carol Simpson of Lorain and Geneva Griffith of Columbus, Ohio, her grandchildren, Nicole, Alisha, Emily, Danny, Billy, Jr., Jimmy, Josh, Meredith, Alissa, Billy Gene, Kaya and Cali and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Arms was preceded in death by her husband of thirty two years Billy Gene Hughes in 2000, her brother, Duane and sisters Jeannie and Linda. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 10 AM until 1 PM in Haven Non-Denominational Church, 1302 Broadway Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052 where services will follow at 1 PM. Burial will follow in Ridgehill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp., Ohio. The WALTER A. FREY FUNERAL HOME, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052 is entrusted with the arrangements.
