Lily Irene Calderon

Lily Irene Calderon (nee: Martinez), age 63, Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain Ohio. Born January 23, 1952 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Elias and Joaquina (Rodriguez) Martinez, her favorite pastimes included dancing, laughing, baking, playing at casino game rooms, listening to music, going to restaurants, traveling, and loving her children and grandchildren. In life she was a very beautiful, strong and incredible mother. These gifts she shared with others, making a career as a devoted and caring home health aide. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Lira; son, Andres Sanchez; daughter, Selina Calderon and grandson, Ryan Fernandez. She is survived by son, Edward Fernandez, Jr.; daughters, Anita Fernandez (Iris Cruz) and Jennifer Sanchez (Jesus Troncoso); brothers Elias Martinez, Jr. and John Avalos; sisters, Felisitas Mendiola, Juanita Calderon and Rosemary Rios; grandchildren, John Alan, Matthew, Andrew, Juan and Jazmin. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 1 p.m. in the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, 700 W. Erie Ave., Lorain Ohio. (440) 244-2144
