Lillie B. Collett

Lillie B. Collett, age 95, passed away peacefully, December 22, 2024, at her residence in Lorain, Ohio. She was born August 5, 1929, in Knox County, Kentucky to the late Elbert and Viola (nee Hubbard) Smith.

Throughout Granny's life, she enjoyed making her "Babies" delicious home cooked meals. During nice weather she loved sitting on the front porch spending time with whomever was there with her. To sum up Lillie's life in a few sentences is impossible. Lillie B. was the definition of unconditional love and understanding.

She is survived by her children, Joyce Lovas, Lonnie (Linda) Collett, Harold Collett, Marie (Robert) VanHoose and Geraldine Collett; brother, Curt (Ruth) Smith; sisters, Mae (Lacy) Jones and Evelyn Grubb; 32 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; 48 great-great grandchildren, 2 great-great-great grandchildren and an extended host of additional loving family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George; son, Darryl Lee Collett; 6 grandchildren and additional extended family and friends.

Her family will receive friends Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, Lorain, Ohio 44055, from 2 PM until a time of remembrance and sharing at 4:30 PM.
