Joseph P. BILLICK

Joseph P. Billick, 72 of Lorain, Ohio died Friday, November 14, 2014 in his home following a sudden illness. He was born on August 4, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Anna Margaret (nee: Kershey) and Frank John Billick. Mr. Billick was a life long Lorain area resident. From 1978 until 1980 he was employed in the transmission department of General Motors, Brook Park. Mr. Billick was a cook in many area nursing homes. He became the Food Service Director for the State of Ohio, retiring in 2008. Mr. Billick attended Grace Baptist Church, Lorain. He is survived by his sons, Paul Billick of Texas, Frankie Billick of Puerto Rico, Joey Billick of Texas, Troy Billick and Michael Billick, both of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, his daughters, Pamela, Peggy Vargas, both of Texas, Kimberly Miller and Michelle Braley, both of Norwalk, Ohio, numerous grandchildren, including Chris, Amber, Nick, Kasey, Matthew, Jordan and Paige and two great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Billick was preceded in death by his wife of thirty six years Janice M. (nee: King) Billick on July 29, 2006 and his son, Phillip Billick in 1995. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 11 AM until 1 PM in the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Jay Roller of Grace Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp., Ohio.
