James Allen Renner, 72 of Lorain, Ohio died Sunday evening, June 12, 2011 in the Cleveland Clinic Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born on June 8, 1939 in Lorain, Ohio to the late Pearl Mary (nee: Rosenkranz) and Carl Mathias Renner. Mr. Renner was a life long Lorain resident who graduated with the1958 class of Lorain High School. Mr. Renner was employed for thirty years as a painter for Ford Motor Co., Lorain Assembly Plant before retiring on March 13, 1968. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing cards, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family. Mr. Renner is survived by his sons, James (Brenda) Renner of Englewood, Ohio, Theodore Renner of Eaton, Ohio, Mark Renner, Danial Renner, both of Lorain and Dennis (Chrystal) Renner of North Ridgeville, Ohio, daughters, Sandy (Randy) Green of Avon Lake, Ohio and Brittani Renner of Clearwater, Florida, his brother, Robert (Michelle) Renner of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, his sisters Vivian Urig of Sheffield Lake, Ohio and Wanda Ralston of Lorain, eighteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and his long time companion, Betty Caudill. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Jack Renner and Richard Renner and his sisters, Elaine Renner and Mary Lou Futrall. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 2 P. M. until 4 P. M. in the WALTER A. FREY FUNERAL HOME, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052.
