James Herbert Fraley, Sr., 64 of Amherst, Ohio left this world in peace to join his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 1, 2014. He was under the care of Hospice of the Western Reserve. Jim was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on January 8, 1950 to the late Herbert C. and Leona (Hart) Fraley. The family moved to Lorain, Ohio in 1954. He was a 1968 graduate of Clearview High School where he was the Sr. Class Vice President and a member of the wrestling team. Jim started working with his dad at age twelve putting on roofs and siding. He was co-owner of Fraley and Fox Construction. Jim was an avid participant at turkey shoots; he belonged to the Lorain County Coon Hunters Association. Jim leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of twenty three years Brenda, his son, James, Jr. (Jennifer) of Los Angeles, California, daughter, Jessica (Marvin, Jr.) Jackson, sisters, Marcia Harding and Janis (Rusty) Engle, grandchildren Marvin Jackson III and Victoria Jackson, three aunts, an uncle, nieces and nephews. He was blessed with many friends including his care giver, Buster Meade. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Carol Adkins. A celebration of Jim's life will be on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 1 PM until 4 PM in the First Luthern Church, 603 Washington Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052.
