Irene Viola Korzan

Irene Viola Korzan, 99 of Glenn Willow, Ohio, formerly of Lorain, Ohio died Thursday, November 29, 2018 in the Strafford Care Center, Glenn Willow, Ohio. She was born to the late Barbara (nee: Peter) and Louis J. Preger on May 23, 1919 in Lorain, Ohio. Mrs. Korzan was a Lorain resident until six years ago when she moved to Glenn Willow. She was a Lorain High School graduate. For many years Mrs. Korzan was employed for Lorain Products. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Lorain. Mrs. Korzan was a homemaker who loved cooking, gardening and flowers. She had a passion for sweets. Mrs. Korzan also enjoyed shopping. She is survived by her grandchildren, Denis (Julie) Korzan of Cincinnati , Ohio, Dawn (William) Brown of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and Daniel (Amanda) Korzan of Hudson, Ohio and great grandchildren, James, Spencer , Hallie and Christian. In addition to her parents Mrs. Korzan was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Korzan in 1960 and her sons, Dale Korzan and Denis Korzan. Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 11 AM until 1 PM in the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM in the funeral home with The Rev. Fr. Edward J. Smith, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
