Ernest Ray Flynn

Ernest Ray Flynn, 67 of Lorain, Ohio died Thursday, February 14, 2019 in Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain. He was born on September 6, 1951 in Bronston, Kentucky to Opal Marie (nee: Hardwick) and the late Ernest Clifford Flynn. Fifty years ago Mr. Flynn moved to Lorain where he met his wife, Frances Christina (Chris, nee: Berry) Flynn who died on August 21, 1991. After arriving in Lorain, he began his employment in the trim department and garage of the Ford Motor Company, Lorain Assembly Plant where he worked for thirty three years before retiring. Mr. Flynn enjoyed hunting and fishing. He traveled all over the United States including Alaska. Mr. Flynn is survived by his mother, Opal Marie (nee: Hardwick) Flynn of Bronston, his daughter, Misty Dawn Mcie of Lorain, his brothers, Virgil L. Flynn of South Amherst, Ohio and Doyle A. Flynn of Bronston, sisters, Helen M. Denny of Bronston, Glenda J. Phillips of Sommerset, Kentucky and Nancy Casada of Bronston and four grandchildren. In addition to his father and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Dusty Ray Flynn in 1987. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 11 AM until 1 PM in the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst, Twp., Ohio.
