Dorothy Hofecker Obituary

Dorothy Anna Hofecker (nee: Boxler) , 101 of Lorain, Ohio died on Thursday, September 6, 2012 in Anchor Lodge Nursing Home, Lorain. She was born on October 20, 1910 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Hofecker came to Ohio in 1946. She worked at Lorain Telephone Company (Century Link) for 20 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Lorain. She is survived by three nieces, Mrs. Eileen Gagne, Mrs. Mary Kay Bianco and Mrs. Shirley Barbato, a great-niece, Mrs. Diana Skowron, three great-nephews, Terry, Dennis and Michael Ryan and one very close cousin, Mrs. Geraldine Benson, all of Johnstown, Pa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hofecker of 20 years, her daughter, Linda Hofecker, two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Eichensehr and and Mrs. Catherine Stutzman, a brother, Edward Boxler, Jr. and her parents, Edward and Regina Boxler and Regina's second busband, John Harshberger. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, September 7, 2012 from 3 PM until 4 PM in the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052. Services and burial will be on Saturday at 1 PM in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown. On line condolences may be sent to www.freyfuneral.com.
