Darrell Richard DeWitt

Darrell Richard DeWitt, 79, of Lorain, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at the Oak Hills Nursing Center. Born July 26, 1936 to Milton R. and Margaret E. (nee: Christman) DeWitt, he lived the majority of his life in Lorain working for Ford. He is a member of Church Of God Of Prophecy, Vermillion, OH and a former member of The Moose and Eagles 343. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Louise (nee: Eskins); daughter, Kathy; granddaughter, Stephanie Ann; twin brother, Donald Roosevelt DeWitt and brothers Glendale and Gerald DeWitt. He is survived by wife, Frances (nee: Lamie); sons, Timothy (Pauline), Darrell Michael (Brenda), Dale (Sheila), Donald (Theresa) and Dean (Kathy) DeWitt; daughters Rhonda (Marty) Mackey and Barbara (Jeff) Hanigan; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 21, from 1 p.m. until time of service at 5 p.m., in the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, Lorain. Reverend Joseph Newberry officiating.
