Darlene Smith

Darlene Smith (nee: Wright) 57 of Lorain, Ohio died Thursday, July 31, 2014 in her home. She was born to the late Della and James C. Wright on April 28, 1957 in Lorain, Ohio. Mrs. Smith had been a life long Lorain resident. She was employed for fourteen years as a cleaner for the Lorain City Schools. Mrs. Smith enjoyed decorating and cooking with her kids for the holidays. She loved listening to country music and collecting angel figurines. Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Patrick Daniel Smith to whom she was married for thirty six years, her sons, Jason (Linda) Kilkenny, Joey (Summer) Smith and Chris (Ashley) Smith, all of Lorain, her daughters, Amanda Brown and Lisa Carrol, both of Lorain, her brothers, Charlie (Candy) Wright of Cranbury, Texas, Danny Wright of Bryant, Arkansas, Randy (Alice) Wright of LaFollette, Tennessee and Kendall (Sheila) Wright of Haskell, Arkansas, her sister, Tammy (Bruce) Hyslop of Benton, Arkansas, fifteen grandchildren and two great granddaughters. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 2 PM until 4 PM and from 6 PM until 8 PM in the Walter A, Frey Funeral Home, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp., Ohio.
