Barbara L. Rango

Barbara L. Rango (nee: Nickison) 86 of Elyria, Ohio, formerly of Lorain, Ohio died late Sunday evening, December 17, 2017 in EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria. She was born to the late Wilma Gertrude (nee: Fetter) and Kenneth Chester Nickison on September 28, 1931 in Marion, Ohio. When Mrs. Rango was five years old, she moved from Marion to Lorain where she made her home until moving to Elyria two and a half years ago. She was an employee of the Lorain Telephone Company. Mrs. Rango was the owner and operator of Lou's Place, Lorain for many years. She was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter and a former member of VFW, Post 451 Auxiliary both of Lorain. Mrs. Rango was an avid bingo player and enjoyed visiting the casinos. She is survived by her son, Louis R. (Sharon) Rango, Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, her daughters, Diane (David) Stewart of Lorain, Debbie L. (Brad) Smith of Avon, Ohio, Julie (Steve) Szuhy of Lorain and Barbie A. (Tim) Barr with whom she made her home in Elyria, eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Mrs. Rango was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Robert Rango on February 21, 2010 and her brothers, Kenneth C. Nickison, Jr. and James Nickison. Funeral services and inurnment will be on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11 AM at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
